The Hanway Lecture Brand
by Anne Kostecki
I was asked to brand a new event for Loyola University Maryland called the Hanway Lecture in Global Studies. The goal was to create a solid brand that could be used for future years, with allowance for a change of lecturers, as well as to convey its connection to Loyola. I designed a logo that features a graphic compass to represent leadership and global community. The typeface is Mercury, a strong serif face that is also part of Loyola's branding. The color palette features dark emerald green, white, and touches of black or gold.
The finished products include a logo, typeface and color palette, invitation, envelope, invitation inserts, event slide, digital and printed signage, web banner, name badges, and selected photography. Invitation materials were offset printed on Mohawk Superfine Smooth paper.
