Stanibration Custom Logo

I was asked to design a custom logo for an upcoming group travel expedition to Costa Rica with family and friends. The client wanted a logo to print on t-shirts and custom thermal cups, and for branding the event on stationery. She asked for a logo with the copy, "Stanibration, Live Life Fully," with a fish and an outdoorsy and fun feel.
I was inspired by recreational and sporting good company branding, with clear visual hierarchy and clean lines. I chose Burbank as the main typeface because of it's casual, playful letterforms. I added a mountain illustration above, and a fish illustration below, to visually represent land and sea. The brand "seal" included the "Costa Rica 2020" and "Live Life Fully" encircling the logo. The clients were so very happy with the result, and photographed all of the attendees in their custom shirts and with their cups!
