Loyola Accept Packet 2016
by Anne Kostecki
The Undergraduate Admission office wanted to design a packet for accepted students that was functional, exciting, easy to print and assemble, and within its brand guidelines. I proposed several options of varying types of folders, but there were specific mailing parameters that had to be met: the folder had to contain several pieces, including a custom-shaped "L" sticker, and it needed to be able to show the mailing address through the envelope, meaning that the top sheet needed to be visible when opened. I proposed a simple folder with a die-cut Loyola emblem, with the custom sticker glued to the back, with an emerald green envelope and metallic silver ink. Not only did the final product look beautiful, but it was also produced under budget and ahead of schedule.
The folder was printed on Mohawk 80# cover weight paper, with a custom converted envelope. The envelope was printed with a double hit of Pantone uncoated ink, with a silver Pantone metallic ink.
